Jo Freeman is a Contemporary Dance Artist, Actor, Choreographer and Teacher who trained at Tring Park School for Performing Arts before then attending Rambert School of Contemporary Dance. She freelances in Manchester, surrounding areas and London. She has worked with some of the most renowned UK choreographers such as Kenrick H20 Sandy, Kevin Edward Turner and Becky Namguads and many more in performances, music videos and other collaborative projects in various creative roles. She has extensive performance experience and has been seen on the Linbury Stage, Royal Opera House, Stage Theatre Leeds and Central St Martins Theatre, London to name a few. She is passionate about sharing Dance as a form of therapy for Mental Health and works with Rambert Dance Company, Fallen Angels Dance Theatre and the Charity Mind, to promote the benefits dance has on Mental Health and Well-Being as well as being a qualified Yoga Teacher. Having recently trained professionally in Acting with ACT UP NORTH academy she is exploring her movement direction and acting opportunities working with shows for Edinburgh Fringe. Currently she is developing her own short film that showcases the rigorous training and career expectations for dancers as well as raising awareness for addiction recovery and alongside her teaching and performing.
